Margaret-Ann Ashburn Broker in Charge, Forest Acres Office

My philosophy in life is “Whatever role you take in life, do it the best you possibly can.” My goal is to be the very best Managing Broker there is and to help the agents in the office be the very best they can be.

Margaret-Ann's background includes a career as writer and illustrator for magazines, newspapers and locally published books, as well as part owner and manager of three successful city magazines. Her twenty-one year career in real estate includes 5 years as Marketing Director for Russell & Jeffcoat. During that time, she introduced many new and innovative ideas, including personal brochures for agents, cost-effective television ads and the "Million-Dollar Babies" newspaper ad featuring the baby pictures of Russell & Jeffcoat's members of the Million Dollar Club. She helped many agents develop a marketing strategy that helped them achieve the next level of success in their careers.

She and her husband were among the first real estate teams in the Midlands and were the first Realtors in Columbia to have their own website. She is the recipient of numerous sales and listing awards and is a Life Member of the Columbia Association of Realtors Circle of Excellence. She has earned the Certified Residential Broker, Accredited Buyer Representative and ePro professional designations, and is a member of the Home Builders Association and the Sales & Marketing council.

Margaret-Ann's philosophy is simple: give people the tools they need to succeed, and they will succeed. Our Broker-in-Charge since 2001, Margaret-Ann's entire focus is on guiding and coaching the agents in her office. She is known for providing excellent training, innovative tools and continuous support to agents.

Married with 5 beautiful children and 9 very special grandchildren, Margaret-Ann is active in the community. She is a member of Women in Philanthropy and the Sierra Club, Forest Acres Rotary Club, Forest Acres Neighborhood Association and Forest Acres Merchant's Association.
