A 1968 graduate of The Citadel, Doug earned his way through school on a basketball scholarship. He is one of the all-time leading rebounders in the school’s history. His teammate at The Citadel was Pat Conroy, whose current book, My Losing Season, a non-fiction novel about their 66-67 basketball team, is on bookshelves around the world today.

A Vietnam veteran, Doug entered the real estate business in August of 1972 and has consistently been one of Columbia’s premier real estate professionals since that date. Doug has two sons, Douglas, who is a Financial Planner in Asheville w/ AIG, and Guy, who is serving his country in the United States Navy.
