Russell & Jeffcoat Broker-In-Charge Named Realtor of the Year

Columbia, SC- Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors is proud to announce that Preston Young, Broker-In-Charge of the Blythewood office, received the Realtor of the Year Award by the Greater Columbia Association of Realtors (GCAR).

The mission of the GCAR is to be the organization in the Midlands that represents the standard for the real estate sales professional through the organization's Code of Ethics, educational offerings, information systems and involvement in local government issues.

Young has been involved in the GCAR organization in many roles, including; the Education, Grievance, Professional Standards, Bylaws, Equal Opportunity committees and GCAR/Home Builders Association Joint Legislative Committee and most recently as the 2008 President of the GCAR. He has been involved in every aspect of the real estate profession and was honored as a member of the Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors President’s Club and as a Life Member of the Greater Columbia Association of Realtors’ Circle of Excellence. Young has earned several designations, including: Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES). Along with his dedicated involvement in the real estate profession, Young is actively involved in the Blythewood Community. He is a member of the Blythewood Business Coalition.
