Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors, Inc. Welcomes New Broker-In-Charge to Lexington West Office

Columbia, SC- Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors, Inc. is pleased to welcome Buddy Wilson to the Russell & Jeffcoat team as Broker-In-Charge of its Lexington West office.

Wilson is a South Carolina native and a 30 year resident of Lexington County. He obtained a BSIM degree from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Georgia State University. After an active duty tour with the U.S. Army, Wilson returned to SC and made the Irmo area his home. He then worked in the steel industry for over 25 years. 1n 1996, he obtained his real estate license and embarked on a new career.

Wilson stated, “Making a career move into a new industry will cause some sleepless nights, but becoming apart of the Midland’s real estate community has proved to be one of the most rewarding decisions of my life. Its is a privilege to be associated with the consummate professionals who comprise our local real estate community. It is also a privilege to be apart of the Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors management team, which mirrors the professionalism and ethical standards of our industry.”

Wilson has served on and chaired the Legislative and Education committees for the Greater Columbia Association of Realtors. He is also a member of the SC and National Association of Realtors as well as the Sales and Marketing Council of the Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia. Wilson has obtained the Accredited Seller Representative, ASR, and the Senior Real Estate Specialist, SRES, designations.

For over 25 years, Wilson served as a commissioned officer in the South Carolina National Army National Guard. He is a licensed real estate instructor, a graduate of the Leadership Lexington County, Class of 2000 and a member of the Lexington County Chamber of Commerce. Appointed by the Lexington Country Council, Wilson currently serves on the board of the Lexington/Richland Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council and was elected board chairman for 2008.
