Forest Acres Branch of Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors Sponsors "Read to Feed"

(COLUMBIA, SC – May 27, 2009) The Forest Acres Branch of Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors sponsored the second grade classes of Conder Elementary Arts Integrated Magnet School by raising monies for the “Read to Feed!” program. The Forest Acres Branch pledged a sponsorship for each book that the children in the second grade classes read throughout the school year. “We were thrilled to participate in this program and to see how many books the children read!” stated Margaret Ann Ashburn, Broker in Charge of the Forest Acres Branch.
Dr. Shirley Watson, principal of Conder Elementary Arts Integrated Magnet School was presented with a check for $340 from the agents of Forest Acres Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors. The donation will go directly to Read to Feed, a non-profit program that donates livestock and farming supplies to starving families around the world.

Pater joined Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors in 1992 as a sales associate and has been a part of the management team since 1995. (COLUMBIA, SC – June 2, 2009) Ron Roe, CEO of Russell and Jeffcoat Realtors, announced the addition of Judy Downing to the Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors management team. Downing will serve as Broker-in-Charge of the company’s Blythewood Office. Judy is an experienced Real Estate Broker, CSP, and CMP. In addition, she was one of only two real estate brokers in South Carolina earning the MIRM (Member, Institute of Residential Marketing) designation at the International Builders Convention earlier this year.

She received her initial Real Estate training with a major national builder in Dallas, Texas, in 1998, concentrating on construction, finance, and client services. Since then, she has been very successful in the South Carolina residential market, as well as in land acquisition for various clients. She is a Past Chairman of the Sales and Marketing Council of the Home Builders Association, presently serving as co-chair of the program committee. She currently serves as Secretary of the Columbia Home Builders Charitable Foundation and is a member of the Ambassadors Committee. She is a lifetime member of the Greater Columbia Board of Realtors Circle of Excellence, and is currently a member of the Community Service, Public Relations and Professional Standards Committees of the Central Carolina Association of Realtors.

(COLUMBIA, SC – June 2, 2009) Russell and Jeffcoat Realtors announced the results of a fundraiser held in Chapin, SC. The fundraiser was led by Shelley Sims, an agent in the Chapin Branch and was held to assist The Oliver Gospel Mission.

Sims reported that through the efforts of the Chapin Branch agents over $1000 was raised. The event was held at the Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors branch and offered donated items such as furniture, household goods, and baked goods for sale.

Cheryl is an experienced agent who has lived in SC since 2005; prior to living in SC she lived in Oregon. The Guardian Society recognizes donations of at least $1000 and offers its members the opportunity to sponsor 10 rescued animals. Members will receive a certificate with the animal's information, where they were rescued from, etc. They can follow the animal’s progress from rescue through adoption.

Hurricane Builders Gives Away 1st $500

Hurricane Builders recently announced the first winner of the Hurricane Builders Family 500 Club. Rory Washington, a Richland One school district employee and a visitor to one of the Hurricane neighborhoods, won $500 in the first weekly drawing that was held in early December. Bill Sinnett, VP of Operations for Hurricane Construction and an agent with Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors, asked Washington what she would do with the money.
“I am going to use it for Christmas,” she said, adding that she was so surprised to be the winner and really enjoyed visiting the new home communities.

All visitors, buyers, and agents who visit any of the more than 15 Hurricane neighborhoods will be eligible to enter a weekly contest. One name will be drawn each week, and that person will receive $500.00 from Hurricane Builders. The company plans to continue this program throughout the coming year.

Salvation Army during this Holiday Season

Columbia, SC- Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors, agents and staff are lending a hand this holiday season in efforts to help the Salvation Army. Many of Russell & Jeffcoat agents have volunteered their time to “Ring the Bell” for the Salvation Army at different locations throughout the midlands. Russell & Jeffcoat’s Sumter office also put in their efforts to help the Salvation Army this season by donation 14 bikes to the WLTX & the Salvation Army’s Stuff a Bus toy drive campaign.
